News Update
The road project continues. As many as ninety people worked and continue to improve the road to Mapou. These villagers worked and we fed them with food to take home to their families.
The teams that joined us during the summer were instrumental in helping us accomplish our goals in evangelism, construction, medical bush clinic, and VBS. They worked on the house with restroom facilities. We averaged over one hundred fifty children in vacation bible school and twenty-one children came to know God’s saving grace! Men, women, and children were medically treated and given vitamins and medicines from the five surrounding villages. We showed the Jesus film in Creole on a Sunday and a Tuesday afternoon to more than one hundred people. We heard comments of understanding as they watched the film and more came to accept Jesus as their Savior!
Everyday some families were fed as we ate together and thanked God for His goodness. When we prayed for water, God gave us provided water. A committee is now formed for the well project. School registration has started and we are anticipating another great year for Mapou’s school consisting of pre-I to fourth grade. We even had a beautiful wedding in the village for a young couple. Pray for them as they start their new family together.
We praise God for His goodness and protection as we continue to follow Him. Our children now speak and sing songs in the language. The most rewarding is to hear my three-year-old share the gospel and tell others that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and Jesus loves you! The Lord has prepared us for such a time as this to proclaim the Good News to everyone, even from the mouth of babes! God bless all our supporters and thank you for sending us and working together in the Kingdom.
