Mission Statement - To Plant a Seed, Grow a Village

International Ministries of Hope’s mission is to improve the lives of our impoverished brothers and sisters around the world. We will educate the people spiritually, physically, and morally. Our mission is to be used by God to help raise up a new generation that will literally change the life of the next generation.

Our Vision

International Ministries of Hope’s vision is to continue helping the people in Mapou Village, on the Island of La Gonave to become self-sufficient. Through the teachings of Jesus Christ, outreach, and training programs, we envision Mapou village will be educated and be a lighthouse to the surrounding villages to reach the rest of the island. 

One Community at a Time

Our first community is La Gonâve, an island of Haiti with approximately 150,000 residents, located to the west of Port au Prince. It is the largest of the islands in terms of size located off the Hispaniola mainland. At the present time in Mapou Village, where the mission is located, children walk three hours to bring water back to the village. We are currently raising funds to bring water for the first time to Mapou. Seventy-five percent of the population lives in extreme poverty. Many children of La Gonave are dying of malnutrition. One third of the children will die before age five.

You, as an individual, business or group, will get the satisfaction associated with supporting a community program, service or event and contributing towards the quality of life on La Gonâve Island. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are not limited to what you see in this letter. We welcome new ideas on how you can make a difference in our community!
