Ministry Highlights

With the help of our partners, IMofH has made great strides toward the vision of bringing the Gospel to the community of La Gonave.

• 3,500 Square Foot church building completed
• 6 room schoolhouse completed with an additional 4 room schoolhouse to be completed in the winter of 2013
• Built a 50,000 gallon cistern to reclaim all rainwater that falls on the school and church buildings for use in the community
• 5 buildings completed as part of the ministry compound for full and part time missionaries
• Another 5,000 gallon cistern completed in the compound for all to use
• 76 students studying in the Guerrier Institute, our Christian school
• 2 men graduated from Bible School, now serving full time with ImofH and 2 others currently studying in Bible school
• 1 woman graduated from nursing school now serving the community
• We host short term missions teams all year long from all over the United States and Canada
• Our VBS program, every summer, is very successful and with over 450 to 500 children from the island attending the daily services
• Several volunteers participated in the Medical Missions team, which provided medical screenings and dental care to hundreds of people on the island
• We also host gardening and construction teams that focus on training the locals

As the ministry to grow, we must expand our discipleship experience by developing teachers and expanding the ministry staff.  As a result of this vision and your support, we had several teachers and ministry leaders graduate from our training program.
