Mission & Vision
Mission Statement - To Plant a Seed, Grow a Village
International Ministries of Hope’s mission is to improve the lives of our impoverished brothers and sisters around the world. We will educate the people spiritually, physically, and morally. Our mission is to be used by God to help raise up a new generation that will literally change the life of the next generation.
Our Vision
IMofH’s vision is to continue helping the people in the Mapou Village on the Island of La Gonave to become self-sufficient. Through the teachings of Jesus Christ, outreach, and training programs, we see the Mapou Village becoming educated spiritually and intellectually so that they will continue to be a lighthouse to the surrounding villages and the rest of the island.
One Community at a Time
Our main focus has been in the Mapou Village and it's surrounding villages. The Lord has now given us a bigger vision to reach the entire Island of La Gonave, Haiti that has approximately 250,000 residents and is located to the west of Port Au Prince. This vision includes the expansion of our ministry efforts into the city of Anse-A-Galets which is the main sea port on the island. With this vision we will be transitioning all of the leadership in the Mapou Village into the hands of those that the Lord has already raised up and trained for the work of the ministry there and, of course, with our continued and direct oversight.
Because of our sustainable and reproducible ministry efforts in the Mapou Village, we feel strongly that our new ministry efforts in Anse-A-Galets, Lord willing, will be just as affective in growing disciples for Christ as we teach and train them spiritually and intellectually. This vision includes a fully secured 3 acre property that houses another Bible teaching church, orphanage, elementary school, high school, technical school for adults, nursing station, cafeteria for community feeding programs, well and water reclamation system, gardens and athletic fields. Thus, IMofH has begun an aggressive effort to bring hope to the Island of La Gonave and herewith, we introduce to you this Ministry Proposal and Development Plan in which you can partner with us to support this vision.
Please see the Ministry Projects Page for Mapou Village activities. Please contact us if you are interested in any of the community-building activities, sponsorship or volunteer opportunities listed in this correspondence.
